BRILLIANT

The way you put irony and into every second of the whole series, I love it.

The animation itself is very sound. Your characters are depicted very clearly and contrary to other pieces on NG you allow various styles (like the 3D Panda in The Gallery). Although there is so need for any effects in your production you click every artistical taste bud a man has with your lip-sync and mimicry, not to mention bruises (The Dentist), lighting effects and body language (Rude Word). I mean, it might be me watching lately to many stick figures or Cyanide-alike characters with nothing to present but ideas, but you have really brought the body language back into the ART.

And speaking of that not only the body lnaguage is fantasmic, your whole ability to script the situation just bambozzled me with your ideas and the results of bringing them to life in The Bruvs series.

Sound is clear and its great contrast to put Dan's voice so high pitched. You clearly know how to create a character using even only your voice.

tl;dr;
I hope The Bruvs continue, and once they finish, bring to life another, wonderful project into life, hopefully to be aired in NG

Score for series:
4.5/5 on animation
4/5 on sound
5.5/5 on the ideas

TheBruvs responds:

Thank you - most exciting to read. Very much appreciated. You might take a look at TheBruvs.com - we have 17 films so far. More in production. We only just discovered NG. More fool us. Please check our other films - and maybe visit us at FB, twitter or insta. All pretty much @TheBruvsTV - all welcome. Thank you again. And thanks for taking time to write such a detailed review.

Wooley's view on solo Vampire Galore - Brilliant.

That being said, althought script was simple, I liked the way the story unfolded as well the small touches on screenplays (for some reason the "helmet" moment was my favourite).
Animation was more detailed than his other pieces, so pluses for extending his skill, meaningful background, good face mimicry.
The sound and sudden acts were not used as much as I would have hoped when speaking of a halloween parody (if I'm not mistaken, the music background was only present for "the MONSTER" scene, opening and closing themes), and yet the job on the voices was well-rounded. I guess its pretty hard to play the voice act for Izza.

All in all I like most of Wooleys animations for being a new take on story telling, although they are a bit to get used to I keep getting back to them and this one presents itself good enough to want to see a continuation ^_^

WooleyWorld responds:

That's a really good review to read. I appreciate the lengthy nature of it.
Reviews like this are actually helpful. Thank you.

Face from annoying orange and really nothing more.

Fluid animation, but mean sound (there was discrepency of volume between the voices of the children and the snowman).

Mediacore animation, and nothing interesting in the script, except for boring randomness.

Urbs responds:

Fluid animation and "Mediacore" animation.. which one is your final answer? I must know!

But yeah the audio was rushed since I was trying to get it out last Saturday, so you can sometimes hear Alex's background noise.

Pretty good

Voice actoring solid, nice background music (something like "mechanical ambulatory"). And the animaction is slick. The twist left me wondering:

"Is he a woman now, or does he have two exit holes :P"

Perplexing indeed, would like to see more!

jessejayjones responds:

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it. The mystery at the end will forever remain a mystery. :P

I know this is a dump niche cartoon but...

This is still a review. The level that this movie presents is offensively bad. with tawdry pasted in graphics, unamusing "flickering animation for eyes"mixed with bad sound.

Personal note:
To me this means that this is a stupid joke. I would understand if people around would be just tired, and today no one would post any good material showing anything artistic.

But why it must have got 1st place? Because a majority of voters on this moviedon't care, and they would vote 5 on anything that would refer to their cranky uninspired comments on the Portal, or just because someone asked them in the comments.

Would not write this review, because all movies should get a chance at a fair voting. Except for the fact that this got past 4 other GOOD submissions to the top 1, which only doubles frustration once you see the other 4 "wins of the day" deserved more.

Movies should get 1st win of the day based on Reviews, and only if they refer to the value of the movie as art+fun. This definately does not show any.

robot-jones responds:

i dont know how it got first place i guess new ground like me

Animation: solid 3.5/5
Warm colours, nice touch of the details (moving environment items and such). Pretty much would give 4/5 if the animation would be longer to see more.

Sound 3/5.
Its clear, not "over the loud" level, contrastive in places where it should be. But its used from something else.

Script 3/5
As for the "idea worth", I hope you meant in this film that "too many people are lately behaving like spoiled little shits, totally forgetting about their best friends and disregarding other lives", and not what soupflavoredsoup has written.
Maybe to make sure no one mispresents your art, add a bit more Author Comments than just scoring who's materials was used.

Bassetfilms responds:

Thanks for the in depth review.
Honestly I was not trying to make a point with this cartoon, though I'm glad it came across as one I agree with, it was not my intention.

And in regards to the sound, I'm really not able to make my own sound effects, though next time I will try to edit them more, so they sound less "stock".
And for music, I'm gonna try to write more for my cartoons from now on.
Thanks again.

No, no dad I know does this. Must be America thing, no one does it here not even in euphemistic sense.

But title aside, funny movie :)

Ricanfly responds:

Thanks for watching :)

I feel a shitstorm comming, the grand brawl of the niche artists: Newgrounds vs. DeviantArt!

...

Why it never ever have been announced before o_0?

======================

Lazy graphics (3/5)
Smooth simple animation (3/5)
Scenography and script (4/5)
AfterImpact (3/5)
Waiting if this will actually start a war vs two portals (10/5)

IceBurger responds:

I have no idea what will happen next.
Let the excitement begin!

Thanks for the review!

Nice progress on the facial expressions, and they move their head around while talking like crazy (is that natural for a gerbil or am I picky?). Anyway, simple, funny.

Worth a 4 in comparison to other works, but 5 in the perspective of "short animations".

Also, it made me hungry, so pluses on impacting me (although I'm on a Daniel's Diet)...

WaldFlieger responds:

Hey, thanks a lot! :D

He who has the power cannot supress it. Release your potential creators >_< (Couse I can't ;P)
